Was lucky enough a few months ago to have a interview with Philadelphia-based artist Yis "Nosego" Goodwin. Known for his good humored murals and easy flowing style, Yis has easily become a key artist to watch grow and prosper from the Philly art/street scene.

He's done collaborations with Broken Compass Studios creating a popular and fun game app called 'Catball Eats It All', and again with 'Rusty the Rainbow Whale', which just got funded through Kickstarter. It's been a real treat seeing Yis grow from a highly talented street artist and transition into a professional designer and entrepreneur.

Got to ask him a few silly and yes, even relavent question on his art and general lifestyle.

Describe where you live, how old you are  and how long youâve lived there.

I live in this rad city known as Philadelphia. I'm 27 and I'm from here.

Tell us something about your hometown that not many people know.

Benjamin Franklin founded the Philadelphia Zoo, the first public zoo in the United States.

Describe your studio space the best you can.

Wake up drink coffee, answer emails, paint, and if i'm not tired I go for a swim or play basketball at the end of the day.

I think I just wanted to explore different kinds of art that led me to those mediums.

Whatâs the best/favorite part of working on a new piece/ Mural?

Just the act of painting large scale is fun, I find the end result very rewarding and I enjoy doing public works that I get to share with others.

What mediums are you itching to explore?

Probably paint extinguishers.

What makes for a perfect life in your opinion?

Just being able to do what you love.

Skateboarding around the city with my friends.
