'Genesis', the latest exhibition by Beastman, is on at The Tate this Wednesday July 31.
"This much anticipated exhibition features a series of new paintings on wood further progressing the artist's distinctive style and exploring concepts surrounding the origins of life. These vibrant, geometric and impressive paintings range in size from small to large, reflecting themes of generation and growth in the natural world, whilst communicating the futuristic and overwhelming idea of nature coming to life in a way could have never imagined."

LA PETITE MORT examines euphoric isolation of the artist, steeped in BLO's past movements throughout the public sphere, from 1998 in the French Graffiti scene. This show has all the destructive elements of his youth - yet now he attacks his symbolic ancestors, from the Virgin Mary and Child to the Bleeding Heart.

BLO works with many juxtapositions in his dream-like images of damage. Negating the iconic pin-up of the graffiti scene, he labours intensively over androgynous women with mechanical limbs and lead pipe bones. The sculptural curves of the paintings mirror the heavy reflex of gesture seen in the other monochrome illustrations, that are ripped from their static respite to play on a series of wooden panels and stretched cotton throughout the show.

Exhibition on display:
STATTBAD Berlin - Gerichtstr. 65, 13347 Berlin, Germany
Saturday, July 6th - Saturday July 27th.
Opening hours: Thursdays to Saturdays, from 15:00 to 20:00

In September 2012 Sheryo and The Yok travelled to Vietnam to make a series of porcelain vases. They hand painted each vase in the ancient factories that have been making these vases for centuries with their tattoo influenced, cartoon styles.

The vases together with a new body of work will be on show May 16 at Krause Gallery.

Return to doom lagoon

Watdafac Gallery is proud to present the first European solo exhibition by Sean Morris.
"Return To Doom Lagoon" is a show of new prints, sketches and murals by the Western Australian artist. It's a continuation of the character-based strangeness that Morris has gained a reputation for - this time we are introduced to the girls of 'Doom Lagoon' and their colourful, mildly satanic adventures in bikinis and jean shorts.
The exhibition will double as a launch of a book, also titled "Return To Doom Lagoon" published by Watdafac and featuring the print work from the show.
